Economic Development - Build Out Analysis

Town of Milton, Vermont Route 7 Land Use and Transportation Study/Economic Development Strategy

River Street has completed three plans for the Town of Milton over the past three years that evaluated the economic and land use conditions in the Town and the region with a goal of positioning the Town to capture its share of growth. The Town is facing dramatic residential development pressure and has been concerned that land that is more appropriate for commercial use is being consumed for housing. The plans seek to strike a balance between residential and commercial growth. The three plans include a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, a land use and build out analysis for the Route 7 Corridor and a streetscape study for the Town’s downtown core. River Street was assisted in completing this $70,000 project by Elabd Architectural Illustration, Kathleen Ryan, Landscape Architect, Transportation Concepts and Triad Associates.
