River Street Planning & Development

Planning - GIS & Mapping

River Street uses both ArcView and MapInfo to develop Geographic Information Systems and to produce map products. We rely on digitized property maps, assessment data, census data, and aerial photography to define base layers.

Increasingly, River Street is developing web sites where community members can follow planning progress and review draft documents.

In Master Plans we typically prepare a detailed map series displaying elements such as land use, waterfront revitalization area, soil quality, transportation system, wetlands, historic resources, public infrastructure, brownfield properties, taxable and assessed values, and environmental conditions.
